Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversees the daily operations of accounting and electronic services department. Assists staff with problems and allocates staff resources to as needed to maintain scheduled completion dates. Acquires resources needed to ensure completion of all assigned departmental responsibilities.
- Trains, directs, and helps evaluates employee performance for assigned staff within the department; participates in hiring new employees and recommends promotions/transfers and salary adjustments.
- Assists in development of financial, statistical, and accounting records of the Credit Union. Works with auditors/examiners on year-end and comprehensive audits. Works with auditors/examiners on year-end and comprehensive audits. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Two years to five years of similar or related experience. Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
A bachelor's degree in accounting or business (with an emphasis in accounting)
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
